Introduction & Methodology

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions, developed by Thomas L. Saaty. It provides a robust framework to quantify weights for multi-criteria decision making, based on human judgment rather than pure data.

  • Define Criteria: Specify the number of elements (5–25) you wish to evaluate and name them.
  • Pairwise Comparison: Compare elements against each other using Saaty's 9-point scale. Click any input cell to open the quick-select scale.
  • Extract Weights: The tool normalizes your inputs to generate a Priority Vector (relative weights in %).
  • Check Consistency: Human judgment can be flawed. AHP calculates a Consistency Ratio (CR) to verify reliability. CR ≤ 0.10 is considered highly consistent and acceptable.
